The Independent Music Exchange is a two-day, free, all-ages event that welcomes Australia’s diverse independent record labels to connect directly with the fans and followers that keep them inspired and afloat.

With over 50 labels setting up shop at Thornbury’s Masaya Reception over Saturday 28, and Sunday 29 October, the Independent Music Exchange will spotlight the imprints of all sizes that remain loyal to physical product in the digital world, from homespun hobby projects to globally established stables.

Be sure to bring an empty tote bag for an unmissable opportunity to pick up vinyl, cassettes, merch, zines, test pressings, posters, warehouse finds, artist-signed items and other limited editions directly from these friendly operators.

The Independent Music Exchange has been conceived by independent label owners Michael Kucyk (Efficient Space), Maryos Syawish (Butter Sessions/Research Records) and Corey Kikos (Butter Sessions).
